Sounds like it would be a little too sweet if you ask me. I just realized that when they are talking about huckleberries, they are talking a blue berry. The huckleberries in these parts are red and have a lovely tartness. Would go superb with some hops.
The ones where I live are either a deep red or deep purple. They are like blueberries cranked to 11 with extra tart zing. This shandy had a decent balance feom the lemon sourness, but I have had some commercial shandies that are way too sweet for sure.
