Tron Gate Beers!

That's right baby-girl. You have to have been living under a rock not to know that we goin TRON. We going Sunside! Or is that Sunny side up? Hmm, so many puns, so little time!
Anyway, the Steemisphere is ablaze with the news of Steemit's sale to the Justin Sun of TRON fame. So let us see if we can set our own sun supernova this week with crazy fruity tarty beers!
Oh yeah. I got two stouts vying for some lovin. A Manchester Tart and maple and banana thing.
Yes. I am serious.
I know that you will all be asking the most obvious question, What is a Manchester tart. More importantly, what is Manchester?!?
Anyone?
Wahahahahah, I jest of course. Everyone knows it is an Ecstatic little city down in Englandshire!
So, without further ado. Let's do a token swap ... I mean, let's get fruity of the Stouty!
So first up we have the Manchester Tart stout. I have never heard of the thing so I feel a little googling might be in order.
Manchester tart is a traditional English baked tart consisting of a shortcrust pastry shell, spread with raspberry jam, covered with a custard filling and topped with flakes of coconut and a Maraschino cherry. Source - Wikipedia
Ok, cherry, yeah, fair enough. Custard... Jam, yeah, I can live with that but with Coconut?! Oh please, for the love of god let us hope that the beer doesn't really have all that?

She is a dark lady this tart. No head, not even a bit of fizz crossing her demeanour. I have always liked a stern one. Perhaps I will be drinking this through my pork straw like some kind of messed up Elephant?

Hahaha, this one was a conundrum. For the first time ever I could not quite make up my mind in the video. The sweetness was incredible and the way they got those mad flavours of cherry, jam and custard to come through was astounding.
But ultimately, it was a bit gash. Too sweet, it rapidly became sickly and like a prematurely born horseling, it stood on very wobbly legs.
A 6/10 booms for this one.
So next up we have another sweetie.
A maple and banana Imperial Stout. This one has a more impressive and doughty 10% ABV to offer.
I feel a bit sugared out after the last one so it is with a weary heart that I put it to my mouth. But put it to my mouth I will!!

This pours like a coal miner having a fit, all black and dirty froth. I like the cut of its gib! I can smell the banana, It is gentle and reassuring. I am intrigued.
Hot fucking Tron potatoes!! This thing is a beast but not just a bad beast that tries to gnaw your leg from under the bed when you get up to go to the toilet at night. A proper beer beast that makes you go to the toilet during the night!
It is strong and bitter and dark of coffee. The maple attempts to smooth it out and the banana joins in but they cannot match the ferocious malt of the devil!
I love it! 9/10 booms!

I am decidedly not a fan of overly sweet fruity beers, but that stout sounds appealing indeed.
The sweet ones can be a tricky affair, that second one was a perfect hint of sweetness against the bite of the beer. Mmmm, good times! :OD
On a completely unrelated note, it looks like a downvote troll has been hitting @whatsup. I burnt most of my vote power un-hiding his comments, but there are more flags to counter. Might be worth some effort if you have time and resources to spare.

The Maple and Banana one if you like that kind of thing would definitely do it. It's a brute but a splendidly done one!
And yes, I have been tuning into the shenanigans and it is something that is making the beer all the more welcome!

I love a banana-ry brew m8. One of my fav beers is a german dunkel called weihenstephaner that tastes like bananas.
Plus 10% is a heady abv... I think that would vote my head off at the moment 🙂🍺

I am the same, when they manage to get it right and the banana isnt too fake or overpowering sweet its a winner for me.
