Hoje vamos falar de uma ótima representante de um dos estilos que mais gosto, a Celis White. Antes de falar da cerveja em si vamos ver um pouco sobre a cervejaria, que tem uma longa história. A Celis White não começou com esse nome e nem na Bélgica. Um cara chamado Pierre Celis criou a Hoegaarden original, que depois de alguns anos foi comprada. Insatisfeito, Pierre Celis fundou em Austin, Texas, outra cervejaria, chamando de Celis White. Alguns anos mais tarde esta foi vendida para a Miller (hoje AB Inbev) e logo depois sendo fechada. Mais uns anos a frente e a cervejaria foi reaberta na Bélgica, pela Brouwerij Van Steenberge e produz a receita que temos atualmente da Celis White.

Agora sobre a cerveja, a Celis White é um bom exemplar de uma Witbier, com o suave sabor do trigo. Pelo fato de não ser filtrada sua cor apresenta um amarelo claro bem turvo. Espuma pequena e pouco densa. Seu aroma é incrível, extremamente aromática, com presença forte de ervas e frutas. Boa parte disso se dá pelo trigo, mas também vêm uma parte da adição de coentro e raspas de casca de laranja curaçao. Cerveja muito refrescante, no paladar também se encontra notas frutadas e de ervas.

A Celis White é uma boa pedida para praticamente todo tipo de público. Antes dela eu praticamente não gostava de cerveja, e foi uma outra Witbier que me fez gostar e descobrir que existe mais do que apenas as que tem propaganda na TV. Mesmo importadas não é difícil de encontrar essas cervejas por aqui por um preço razoável. Recomendo a todos que se não conhecem o estilo provem, e se querem uma indicação de cerveja desse estilo vá com a Celis White.

Its aroma is incredible, extremely aromatic, with strong presence of herbs and fruits. Much of this is for wheat, but also a part of the addition of coriander and zest of curacao orange peel . Very refreshing beer, the palate also contains fruity notes and herbs.

Celis White is a good call for just about any audience. Before it I practically did not like beer, and it was another Witbier that made me like it and discover that there is more than just the ones that have TV advertising. Even imported is not difficult to find these beers around here for a reasonable price.
