Beautifully Sublime
This is my entry for the #beautifulsunday challenge, hosted by @ace108 and for #Sublimesunday by @c0ff33a.
My Sunday photos are from a walk along the Chicago River. It is a popular spot for tourists to take a boat tour down in the concrete and glass canyon, go through the locks, and view the city from out on Lake Michigan.
150 Riverside North has several nicknames, including 'the tuning fork' but I personally think it looks like a tree that a beaver has gnawed around the base of. It was completed in 2017 and is 53 stories tall. There are huge tanks of water at the top to serve as a counterweight that keeps it from swaying too badly in the wind. It is anchored deeply into the earth, but still seems more than a bit off balance to me!
Riverpoint is a 52-story tower with a striking curved, green glass mirrored design. The curving glass walls of the arch beautifully reflect the Chicago River, while serving as a gutter to divert water away from the entrance. It was built in 2016.
Even in the city, being by the water makes Sundays delightful!

I really like the countryside, mountains and snow. I do not like cities but the only one that fascinated me is Chicago .... I think it's a general feeling that the steem goes up amiga mia.
I wouldn't want to live in a city, unless I had lots and lots of money. But they are fun places to visit!
