There was such a beautiful gentleness about the morning, the light was soft, the sky almost gray. Until it broke out into a fit of sunshine. I welcome it with unfettered joy, leading me into the open arms of another day. Oh, lead me into temptation, quieting my mind, leading me astray. There is life to be lived. Today.

Seems like we all have some budding skills and dying talents — at the field of life and living

This happened to be a #BeautifulSunday by @Ace108 where you share your day and what you did. I share with you the part where I went through the garden weeding and feeding it, then spent the day with friends, and family celebrating a birthday. So, I am thinking back on my day and the beauty I saw.

Oh, the allure of all things lovely. Nature wears such a happy face, always and forever.

Happy are those that rain sunshine down upon another —And yes, you are my sunshine - living at the corner of happiness and sunshine

I am sure that everyone is a veteran of blowing bubbles. It is remarkable that something so simple can bring so much happiness - to so many people. It doesn't discriminate against sex, race or religion. There are streams of laughter; people have fun blowing bubbles and trying to catch them.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.

they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"
