Beatles fans. You need to get one of these if you haven't done so already.
I recently ordered the new 2 LP version of the Sgt. Pepper 50th anniversary release. Because I'm an old guy who grew up on analog recordings I am biased towards original old pressings of classic rock. That being said for those of you who still sit down with no one home, turn off the phone, put an LP on the turntable, crank it up and get lost in the music this pressing is like hearing it for the first time all over again. The second LP has outtakes of each song which follow the format of original LP that are also very interesting. I suspect some of these released outtakes on the second LP have been edited and "touched up" to preserve an image of professionalism for the band members. If you've ever listened to any of the endless bootlegs that are out there you know that the Beatles especially John Lennon was constantly making comments and wise cracks during the recording sessions and irritating George Martin to no end. If your are interested in hearing what a raw unedited recording session sounded like pick up these Cd's on eBay and else where on line (see links below).
