Holy place #3 - Assemblies Of God Church, AG Drive, Ikot Mbonde

Greetings Friends

Its another day to stumbled on a post by me, i am in the business of promoting steem whereever i go and people who don't understand the concept of things may be asking, why is he taking picture, it may be easier for ladies, because they love selfies seeing a guy take so much pictures looks weird, many are beginning to understand that we are all content creators.

This is Assemblies of God Church, Ikot Mbonde, Nigeria, my place of worship, don't be surprise if you see my post of numerous branches of this denomination, where i reside as a student i worship here, back home i worship in my local assembly which i will be sharing the location, soon.

Without much ado, i will be taking you around Assemblies of God, Ikot Mbonde, Itu Road, Uyo, the street where my church is cited is known as AG Drive after it because it was the first church cited on this street.

By the right hand end of this massive structure we have a wide gate and only the senior pastor drive in here on non-worship days or in the night, this is his car park within the chuch premises though sometimes he parks outside.

On the image above, moving a bit forward and turning to the section just after the car, by the left, this is the structure you will see, my church is a duplex, and large, according to what i heard it would have been a two storey building but a switch to PLAN B was adopted.

The upper floor is where the residential pastor resides and this place is broad. We have the pastor lounge which is 3 residencial apartment above, this corridor leads to the pastor's appartment, while the long hall beside the corridor is an event hall where teenagers gather in sections for sunday and other events.

Let go down the staircase again, and enter inside the church building, just before i stepped in there was a light-out so this is how my church looks when there is no light, this building has the capacity to contain over 700 worshippers.

There is a proper ventilation in this building, the fans are working perfectly and if there is any with a malfunction then the electrical team fixes it before a massive gathering, since this is not a building where the doors and windows are always closed an air conditioner is not needed.

In the church, the building is divided into 3 sitting arrangement, not for class distinction but to maintain orderliness in the gathering, the left is for the women, the middle for youth, and the right for the men, anybody can take any place apart from the women roll because they are always plenty, same with the youth/teenagars roll.

By the left front corner before reaching the pulpit is the musical section of the church, only instrumentalist and vocalist are permitted to go there, people with expertise in the operation of instrument like drum, guitar, amplifier, keyboard, lead and bass guitars, our drums is not a complete set but it can produce a perfect sound because our drummer knows how to hit those skins.

Before the church is a broad podium that has by the left the position for the ministers of the gospel, ordained to be in charge of their respective assemblies, and some are called upon to perform some assignments in this section, I forgot to mention that this is one of the sectional headquarters of Assemblies of God, Church, Uyo East, Akwaibom State, by the right we have a place for the church committee to who makes sure the church runs smoothly by contributing ideas etc.

In the back right corner we have another highly lifted podium, higher than the one the altar is on, and this is for the MEDIA team, their works is to display on the church television screen everything said in a more simplified form, and also display necessary info on the screen.

In this same building there is a partition where books are stored, this is called the student library, we read educational, motivational books, and well as christian novels and this where i borrow the book 101 ways to make every second count

The floor of this building is all tiled, clean, well structured and let go out of this building for the last time, beside my pastor car is the children department, children are not allowed into the main church so that they will not cause comotion, they have a separate apartment or church.

In their church they have TV's where bible stories are being displayed before them, they have instrumentalist and the children are the ones playing this instrumen, i have never have such fun when i was in the children department in my local church, this children are so priveleged.

Lastly, in order not to be disappointed by the Nigerian power holding company this church does rely on them especially on Sunday, so while we use electricity from the power source and we experience an outage then we switch over to our lister generator.

^Toilet

The tiolet as you can see is a very neat one and in this separate structure we have 6 tiolet, there is no label to this tiolet, anybody can access any and it is always kept clean by youth in the church like me.
