BBC Breakfast viewers treated to "porn noises" during a live TV broadcast about Brexit.Political correspondent Emma Vardy was attempting a live cross outside Westminster.
Morning breakfast viewers of the BBC were treated to a rather rude awakening this morning, after a live TV cross went horribly wrong after a soundscape of "sex noises" interrupted Emma Vardy's bulletin.
The political correspondent was getting viewers up to speed on the latest Brexit talk when a "symphony" of "porn noises" latched onto the airwaves.
As Emma continued with her report, she ignored the salacious sounds, keeping her cool and remaining ever the professional journalist.
The sounds weren't so easily ignored by horrified viewers, who took to Twitter to voice their thoughts.
One said: “Erm the background noise during that last interview at the Houses of Parliament! What the heck BBC!"
Another wrote: "Someone kept playing one of those videos that has sex noises on bbc breakfast while a reporter was doing a piece to camera, good job keeping a straight face."
Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt didn’t mention the awkward blunder from their safe position on the red couch in the studio, however the show's Twitter account took on the awkward task of responding to audience queries.
They wrote: “Someone nearby was playing music whilst we were live! So that's what you could hear.”
Turns out the cause of the cacophony was was a prank group TrollStation.
They released a video of them preparing to play porn sounds via a large amp while Emma conducted her cross.
