It has been quite some time! But we've been busy in the Sculptor Studio, to bring you BatMan in all his Glory! No, it is not designed after the moron Ben Affleck, the muppet. Thanks for ruining the Dark Knight, you ended up portraying him as the Dark Nut.
Hence, one of our main reasons to execute this 1:2 size Bust, to again adhere Respect & Mystery to the caped crusader. He is a Bloody Beauty! Hand-crafted over a month, patiently, with meticulous attention to detail, in collaboration with our Balinese Artisans. Influenced, by the great Frank Miller.
We are associated with a wonderful Art Studio here in Bali, and have transformed one of the rooms into a sculpture HQ dedicated to Geekology Nerds. After all, I collected comics as a kid and seeing these characters on the big screen lately is rather pleasant. Justice League came out recently, I've not seen it yet, will most probably go to the cinema this weekend. Or, judging by the reviews, wait for it to come out online.
What you see here is not a 3D printed Bust, obviously. It has been created over a month, with an acute attention to detail. I used to sculpt as a kid, and another Balinese artist joined me in this creation. The design of the 3D AutoCad was outsourced and purchased online.
Our process is a 4-stage - Sculpting, Moulding, Finishing and finally the Master template. In honour of the Roman and Greek Mythos of Gods and Demons, we've decided to only have Mr. Wayne in Black or White. There are quite a few Busts out there you can purchase that are coloured already. However, we will stick to a more, vintage delivery.
The finished product will be made of professional Poly-Resin, this is a common material for statues and busts. Some great companies such as SideShow Collectibles use the same material, one of the best companies out there in the sculpting business.
Well, we are going for the mature market, the older geeks, such as myself. This Bust would be poifect on your work desk or fireplace, right next to your stash of cognac and cigars.
