The Children's Wallet Program: Changing the future for kid's around the world

One of the programs we are most excited about with Manna is the Children's Wallet Program.

This is an initiative that we are going to implement in the later half of 2018. Under this program, wallets will be set up for children who then will receive Manna on a weekly basis. The main difference here is that the blockchain is going to be coded so that the tokens cannot be spent until the child reaches the age of majority.

It is a way to give kid's a leg up when they arrive at adulthood. A major problem for children is they have few resources once reaching this age. The Children's Wallet Program intends to act as a savings account for these kids. Once they reach adulthood, the funds are freed so that the child can use them as seen fit.

By using the blockchain and smart contract technology, the funds are protected from anyone accessing them. Too often, when kids earn some money, others gain access to the funds and spend them. The intention is to have the Manna growing each week over the course of many years.

There is an added benefit for the currency in general. We foresee a fair portion of Manna being locked up over time as more children are involved. Since the tokens will be in the wallets for anywhere from 5-15 years, this will decrease the active number of tokens in ciruclation. Also, people are free to send tokens in from these accounts which locks up even more.

We feel that it is vital to focus upon the children of the world. Regardless of anyone's beliefs, we sense all will agree that we need to do all we can for the children of the world who are suffering. They are completely innocent with regards to the circumstances they are in. It is up to us to assist in whatever way we can since they are powerless to do so.

The Manna Wallet Program will go a long way to alleviating this situation. We envision millions of children from around the world receiving Manna on a weekly basis. This will provide all these children with some resources at their disposal a decade down the road.

Our intention is to align with non-profit organizations around the world that work with children to assist in this endeavor. This will help greatly in the verification process since those organizations tend to have a better grasp on who they are dealing with.

We believe that one of the most powerful ways to stop generational poverty is to start helping out the next generation.
