Google Doodle and poet Shamsur Rahman
Today Is 23 October 2018, the birthday of Bengali revolutionary poet Shamsur Rahman. He was born in 1929 as British Bangladeshi and died in 2006. From last few years google has been celebrating his birthday using his caricature on google doodle. He was a journalist, a poet , and a radio broadcaster. He received Adamji award from Contemporary joint Pakistani President Aiub Khan and later the poet criticized him due to his illegal ascendancy on power . Regarding this He wrote the poem “ hatir shur “ ( the elephant’s turtle” He raises his voice against the Pakistan’s autocracy during the liberation war of Bangladesh. He was mostly famous for his poem “ ode to freedom “ “shadhinota tomi “
His art and life earned several extolling for him . He was rewarded with
