Bangkok's ancient city - MUANGBORAN

Although I'm living in Bangkok for almost 2 years already, I didn't know about this park. That's the geat thing about Bangkok, it's like a treasurechest due to its vibrant population, there is always something new to discover. But this park seriously blew my mind as I thought HOW CAN I NOT KNOW ABOUT IT?!?!?

This park is located at Samutprakan district in Bangkok. It is the best way to see many amazingly beautiful and ancient sights in one day and in one park. The ancient city muangboran (muang=city; boran=ancient) is built in a Thailand like shape.

Therefore you will find in the south of the park monuments from the south, in the north the ones from the north and so on. It is huge therefore you should consider to hop on one of the free bikes, or take the free tram. In our case, we rented a golfcard for 150THB per hour, which was a hell lot of fun!

The monuments are either:
-Removed from the real site for reconstruction
-Duplicated from the original/
Created from the historical evidence

Muang boran is dedicated to preserve the art and culture that is represented in the art, paintings and architecture of every single sight you can visit. As you are driving through the park your eyes don't know where to look first as there is so much beauty and perfection in every part.

And the park is still growing!

My advice: if you are in Bangkok you have to visit it! Even if you have seen many places in Thailand already, this is unique and totally worth a day trip!
