Bands About Bands / Seen It All Films on Juxta!
The Contest
Hello all, recently I discovered @ftlob 's Bands About Bands contest. As a filmmaker with a musical background and being heavily involved in the scene, I thought why not make an entry. After all, if it wasn't for music, I would have never picked a camera up in the first place!

Juxta
I have decided to write about @juxtamusic , because if it wasn't for him and @grandspace writing a song for my short film, I would have never even heard of Steam or the Blockchain. I also admire how much hard work goes into every song, the diversity of genres AND how involved Juxta are within both the blockchain community and music industry.
They are behind Atom Collector Records and do a lot of work in regards of supporting newer members on the steemit platform. It is obvious Juxta's priorities lay within the music industry and I think all the hard work he puts in deserves to be rewarded more, Juxta and the work they do for supporting the community is definitely undervalued, along with their music of course!
I really enjoyed working with them on this project, and we have future plans for me to make a concept film for their album, continuous music videos linking up into a story. This is really exciting and I can't wait to get the ball rolling on this one!
It's hard to describe what kind of music Juxta are, I kind of see them as a bit of many things, from what I heard so far. It is some kind of industrial punk, with influences of electronic creeping through, even more so in their remixes and the like. As a technohead, literally, I am a big fan of the electro stuff.

I saw on Facebook that Juxta were looking to make a soundtrack for a short film, I didn't know the band at the time but as they are local from my area had heard of them. I was very excited when I first listened to their tracks, because I really liked it and knew it had the perfect vibes that I was looking for in my short film's soundtrack. And I was right! I love the end result. I think it's perfect and is definitely a step above what I was hoping for.
Since introducing me to the blockchain, I have met Juxta at a music networking event, (it was quite funny actually because I didn't realise who it was until they did an introductory speech!), and am looking forward to seeing them perform live for the first time next month. I might even bring my camera along...
Oh wow! That was a nice surprise!!
Thank you v very much for your kind words. It was a lot of fun putting the music to your short film and it would be awesome if you could video our gig!!
Hopefully I can get a half decent audio recording and we can create something special again!!
Thanks again!!

That music is really cool and your short movie too..one day would you make a movie out of one of my stories (I'll avoid big effects)? 😁
Ah I'd love to!!!!
I'm wanting to make a short anthology series several episodes 3-5 minutes long, in the style of black mirror at some point, maybe you could write me a few of those! That'd be so cool!
Ah thank you!
Let's think about it! I'll write some stuff in that style .. and if you need to put some specific elements in the script, please tell me.
I've got a load of ideas, maybe one day in the week we could have a skype phonecall or something? :D
Sure I suggest discord.. sorry for my late replies but I'm abroad 😉
Hahaha that's fine, can you do voice calls on discord? I'm so new to the whole thing hahaha
