Comedian- The duct-taped banana art sensation hits meme market

in #ban16 days ago

Maurizo Catellan’s “Comedian” has to be one of the most unique and controversial art works of all time. A duct-taped banana initially displayed at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2019 which quickly went viral as a reminder of how absurd the contemporary art market can get. Initially priced at $120,000 during the first display and is estimated to sell for $1m to $1.5m at Sotheby’s New York art auctions and sales.

Comedian’s attention is undeniable, this traction has now trickled down to the meme market following the launch of Comedian on Solana blockchain with the ticker $BAN.

…but is $BAN worth investing in?

As with other cryptocurrencies and more particularly memecoins, the possibility of high volality cannot be overlooked, hence investors must apply all risk management rules.

For what it is worth, $BAN is currently trading around $0.02 on Bitget, and the upcoming auction of the original artwork “Comedian” at Sotheby’s is expected to draw intense media coverage and public interest, possibily driving the price of the token.

Anyone else thinks it is perhaps a good time for meme lovers to key in before the frenzy wanes?
