Will BAKKT provide another leg up for Bitcoin?

Have you heard of BAKKT? If not, soon you’ll read the headlines when a new cryptocurrency exchange goes live where you can trade bitcoin futures for physical settlements. Exciting? Read on..

ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) is launching BAKKT for institutional investors to actively participate in Crypto trading. By letting financial institutions into this field, ICE hopes volatility could be controlled which has been the nightmare for crypto traders today. Also, you can settle your trades for bitcoins, yes physical settlement will be made possible with BAKKT.

I’m not a big fan of crypto but I see that this may give some push to crypto currencies who are battling regulations and not much of a support from government bodies. This can change that scenario and prove as a catalyst for mass adoption.
