My first Bakery class!!!

I want to share with you this adeventure I´m starting to live in this new experience, hopefully some of you can learn something from it, I´ll show you everything I get to do in my classes.

I started thinking about learning how to bake because I want to live my country for personal reasons, and want to have something else in my CV, you know the usual filling up your skills in case you need anything outside of your comfort zone, but I remember preparing some cakes, cupcakes and even profiteroles and actually enjoying the hell out of myself, it was a fun experience so that´s why I decided to take a bakery class, plus I get to eat everything we prepare lol! you know you gotta love a good cake or anything sweet XD

Well... to begin with we talked about what we´ll be doing for the next 6 months, my preferences are around the red velvet, brownies, cookies and everything related with my own country´s (Venezuela) national desserts, from 3 leches, which I really love! To some of them that I didn´t even know before today like one of them called the Melosa cake lol which allegedly was the favorite cake of our liberator Simon Bolivar, pretty interesting indeed, even another cake was actually really famous around colonial times in my country, it was a Spanish colony back then, the cake recipe was created by a group of afrodescendant sisters and it was so good that by 1793 the king, Carlos IV, gave them the right to be treated like whites and even acquire rights just like the whites, “Que se tenga a las Bejarano como blancas aunque sean negras.” he said, which means that they should be seen as white even if they were black. Something practically unheard of as far as I know.
