Bagel
The toasted bagel is baked in a 350 degree oven in a preheated 200*F oven just before it is served. That way the crust doesn't overcook and turn soggy and dry. The bagel is thick and creamy and very tasty. It will be your new favorite sandwich!
Ingredients:
100g flour
250g sugar
180°C oil
150g canola oil
30g salt
60g fresh mint
100g dried herbs OR ½ tsp salt if you don't buy whole mint.
½ tbsp salt
Method:
First, melt your butter in a large pan over medium-low heat. Next, place in a bowl and add in vanilla. Next, pour the warm milk over the butter until everything is coated. Next, put the milk and vanilla in a separate bowl and put on the heat until it becomes a gentle boil. You can add more milk as needed if required. When it does simmer gently pour the bagel into the boiling milk and reduce the heat to 180*F. Once everything is done, remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly to room level. After it has cooled, spread half the bagel with the other half of the milk mixture and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
