Thank you Lyndsay. I appreciate you sharing this. Lewis is accomplishing something that is amazing, a testament for what God can do if one has faith and ignores whispers that it is futile to fight on. I dream of a day where "getting it" is common in our communities, and things such as what is going on out there is no longer tolerated. Every one of us who keep this spotlight shining bright, amplifying what he is doing is one step closer to that reality. I am grateful for all of you who have not bought into the smear campaign and continue to see the evidence. Especially those of you who are not familiar with Arizona and Tucson.
So many allow their experts to tell them what is what, valuing their time to the point that they escape from facing the evil using experts as their shields. They refuse to understand that just because they might not be interested in the evil, doesn't mean the evil isn't interested in them.
This goes for the Christian community too. So many Christians just don't get it. They think Jesus us the expert that is their get out of jail free card. That they can leave the will of God to Jesus, choosing to overlook Jesus repeatedly said He was not doing His will, but the will of the Father. Jesus did not come here so we could look the other way because he atoned for everything. He showed us the way, showed us what we are to do. Failing to take up the burden is a false belief, lacking any substance. How can any of us believe that we would deserve from the source more than we are willing to spare for another?
I just got done reading some of his haters posts, and I know these descriptions fit some of them. Maybe its time for some of those "Christians" to put away their merchant ideas about being saved and spend more time being what it is they want for themselves. Their support of the opposition (some cheering it) is what allowed that homeless camp to be closed. How they can think of that as a victory and keep a straight face and call themselves Christian is astounding.
