Experience backpacking for 2 day with cost $40!!!

 

When we hope something that did not expected. the  result can be    different. the result that not perfect always occur.same  with my    backpacking this time. however, my backpacking was not perfect,  but   iam  so happy with that.

in the beginning, the trip to pulau weh was planned in the second     week maret. everyting was ready. some destination to tourist   attraction   was choised, but ah heheh iam not consistent in the plan.   when i have   friend that invite me go to sabang. then i say yes.

so i  decided  go to destination with alittle money about Rp.     500.000,like around $40. i challange my self that can i stand in weh     island in 2 days???? check it out !!

it can be said that my trip was semi backpaker, because my trip     friend was not backpacker type that want to get a cheap price.so,     sometimes i have to succumb for several things.we go from meulaboh in     thuesday night. we go with a traveler car. the cost is about   rp.120.000   or $9 ( if i go with l300 i can save my money rp. 20.000,   $1.4). we  stay  at sacita di peunayong guesthouse. the place was   located in front  of  sulthan hotel. the cheaper room in this  guesthouse  is rp.100.000 or  $8.  so matching to backpacker.

in 10.30 am,we go to the ule lhee port with taxi (hehe again and     again i have to succumb). the cost was 30.000/person or $21/person.     whereas if we go with becak with 30.000, we can go three at time   .but    its not a problem, because my friend treat me. heheh.

sailing with slow ship (slow ferry) from ulee lhee to balohan cost     the time  about half of hour. some driver angkot offer us. after  offer    with driver angkot, we go to lboih with price about 30.000 from   50.000   or $21 to Rp30.000

after we arrive in lboih. i immidiately look for bungalow for stay     overnight. we go to hill  with a small rock in our way. so many small     cottage with floor leap that stand in hillside and above the rocks.   the   cost each room in bungalow is variation, but generally they set   tarrif  appropriate the place of bungalow.

 

in the foreshore, the cost is about  rp.200,000/350ribu.$25. in    hillside or near beach, the cost is about  rp. 150.000/200.000 or $15.    Bungalow that alittle far from the beach.  the cost is about    rp.100.000/150.000 or $12. if we stay long time, we  will get a cheap    price.

We have to smart to offer the person that have bungalow, and we     always have to ask each bungalow. i will give the list bungalow with a     good cost.

my friend got bungalow in o,ongs bungalow. after i wait for along     time with a tired face and hopeless.we got the room with cheap cost  in    mama mia , just 100.000 for 2 night. haha i think i have a good   acting   to offer that room hhehehe.

in each bunglow, they have a reustaurant that it is not like a     reustaurant. i think like a food stall in side of the road. it has a     wastern-style menu, and have a expensive cost of course. the cooking   as   their offer. the unic, the coocker is the owner of bungalow. i  feel  so   funny when i hear they speaking english with west person(bule   bule)

Eat, ? what you want to eat? ooo acehnese food? spcey? your friend     eat curry just now then go.. go.... you want barracuda? banana     milkshake? wait!!

some another coocker enough with only one or two word. noodle? with     ketchup? oke coffe, with sugar? (iam sorry, i dont mean to blame . my     english is bad too heheh)

after i heard more about the coocker talking, i look for the place     for snorkeling. it has some place that i saw the bule(west person) do     snorkeling too, but the best place for that is in yulia's . this     bungalow is the last bungalow in lboih. of course the place is so  far.

 I think, this marine park is the most beutifulplace then other. the     coral reef is so variation with some awesome fish full of colour and   so   awesome marine life. usually we just only watch on television, but    this  time we can watch directly near with fish and other heheheheh  :D.

wow. this is really amazing experience, and the frist time experience     i snorkeling. i really feel panic because iam not familiar to   beathing   with tool. but, after along time i can handle it hehe.   snorling in the   frist day is really awesome. its not only surrounded   by fish and coral   reefs, but the jellyfish too. exactly,baby   jellyfish. i feel like   spongebob that floats on surface water and  baby  jellyfish sting me as  he  likes.

several time i got stung and my skin would be so itchy because i     contac with jellyfish. mybe about half of hour i enjoy the underwater     panorama. finally i gave up with baby jelly fish that stung me.

The second day

i wanna go to gapang, but my money not enouth to rent a motorcycle.     the cost about rp.80.000/day. i must to find the way how to get a  rent    motorcyle with a cheap price. it so happened that,mama mia ask  me  where   do i go today. i said"i wanna go to gapang".of course i set  my  face  with  sad face, so i can get rent i motorcyle :D. the mama  offer  the   motorcycle to me with requisite that is to help mama  shopping.

ok.i am so exited to bring the mama to shopping and aim so tied to     bring item shopping of mama from the village to bungalow. the load   that  i  carry is a large  plastic that fill vegetable like cabbage and   fresh   fish.

and then i did it. i go to gapang and i feel so strange because noone     person in that place. damn i think i can go swim in this place, hehe  i    cant swim if no one person swim so, i look at around a place, no  one    person in here. some bule (west person) is prepared to diving,  but i    have no money to diving :(. and i got idea. i wanna go to Tugu  Nol    Kilometer. when i go foward lboih, i receive a phone from my  friend.    they said "they wanna go snorkelling,so i cancelled go to  tugu and go    home to lboih for snorkelling. yea i have gone to  tuge  already.

The language and character.

i think, generally the language  from pulau weh is different from     aceh.generally the langguage from pulau weh is not too different with     aceh. 

this is the individual assesment from me. its just a privacy research     about characteristic about lboih person. i think they are so   friendly.   they are a person that so good to talk and want to tell a   story. the   mama that the owner of bungalow. the place that i stay is   tell the  story  to much to me about his child, characteristict of   costumer and  his mind  about the tourist.


 

Here are the lists bungalow with room rates were (actually) negotiable:

1. Bungalow Fatimah (unrecommended) bungalow-bungalow dirty, unkempt.

2. mama mia. we have to smart to took heart of mama, but dont to spoiled. 

3. oala, the owner is german person. his wife is  a coocker. if u     want to ask cheap cost the room do not ask to his wife. its so hard   ask   to his wife to get a cheap coast.

4.o'ong. the owner is the girl. you must be smart to ask a good cost.     remember the bungalow that far from beach is cheap then other.

5.yulias bungalow. the owner is a energic man and good coocker. the bungalow is cheap

There are the list of my experience that i spend in pulau weh.

1. bus (travel)mbo-bna : Rp.120.000  or $10 

2. the lodging in wisma sacita-penayong: Rp.100.000  or $8 

3. taxi (peunayong-ulee lheue) Rp.30.000 ribu or $2.1/person(better u go with becak more cheap )

4.slow ferry : Rp.30.000 or $2.1

5. transport balohan-lboih : Rp.30.000 or $2.1/person

6.lodging(mama mia bungalow): Rp.50.000 or $4/night<<

7.eating in reustauran lboih :Rp.20.000 or $1.4

8.breakfast :Rp.24.000 or $1.9

9.rental snorkle :Rp.15.000 or $1.2

10.rent motorcylce : free (because i help mama mia go to shopping

11.buy aqua water" Rp.25.000 or $2

12.vocher phone : Rp.23.000 or $1.8

13.cost car from lboih to balohan: Rp.50.000 or $4.1

14.becak from balohan to sabang uptown " 20 ribu 

16.fast ship Rp.60.000 or $4.8/3 person.

17.becak from ulee lhee to peunayong : Rp.40.000 or $3.1

The total is 602 ribu/ $52

In conclusion: budget $40 is not enough to survive in Iboih for two days !! Hahaha
