Avengers: Endgame beats everyone: 1.2 billion dollars only on the opening weekend
The last Disney blockbuster hit every record for every box office by raising $1.2 billion on the first weekend. Variety, with Avengers, is announcement of the numbers that becomes the eighth feature to mark the milestone of $1 billion, and is, by far, the fastest movie in film history to reach a share of $1 billion. In comparison, Star wars: Force Awakens earned $305 million the first weekend, while Avengers: Infinity Wars made $630 million the weekend of the opening, and was the first film in the Marvel Universe to make $1 billion. In the beginning of the weekend, the film is the first one to make it. It must be noted that the huge competition from the Endgame record was simultaneously launched with the Chinese market, which, according to information released by Variety, alone amounted to about $329 million. However, a few weeks late last year, the Infinity War started in China. It was not just Captain Marvel's Infinity Wars, overall, that only represented one Marvel cinematic universe. The success in the box office of the latest MCU films is certainly not a futile operation, but it is the final objective of an adventure that had started 11 years ago with Iron Man. To anticipate all the Iron Man's final credits which suggested that the Marvel universe could expand on the big screen. And it's been so. Avengers: Endgame is the result of a decade of work aiming consistently to build and shape the history and protagonists of the Universe. Disney will have to face a whole new challenge following Endgame: the group already anticipates that at least twenty movies "totally different than ever before" in the movies are being filmed by Kevin Feige, boss, Marvel Studios. Probably a new generation of superheros able to make the American manufacturer's boxes even more dreamy for the adults and children.
