Bizzarrini Manta - 60's supercar

The Bizzarrini Manta was the first project of a company called Ital Design. It was designed by the owner, Giuguaro in 1968.

As was typical of the time, it seems so many Italian sports cars featured American V8's, the Manta had a mid mounted Chevrolet V8 engine, producing 400bhp.

This car has very distinctive styling and stands at a whopping 4.1 meters long!

Think the McLaren F1 was the first car to have the driver in the middle? The Bizzarrini Manta had that in the 60's, here we can see the driver sits in the centre of the car. Look at how sparse it is, a car like this would not sell today!

Looks pretty good in silver too!
