SCAM ALERT - Phone Scam - 'Claiming that you owe taxes'.
The ATO has informed us of a "new" SCAM out there, whereby two scammers, one who is claiming to be representing the ATO, the other claiming to be a 'Tax Agent' via a three way phone call are scamming people out of their money.
"Mr Grey told Darren to go to a specific location and pay the $9,000 today. Darren withdrew cash and deposited it into a Bitcoin machine."
TAKE NOTE: "It's OK to hang up and phone us on 1800 008 540 to check if the call was legitimate or report a scam."
