Bald Hill, Australia. A Lookout to Seekout

in #australia7 years ago

Most everyone knows about Australia’s must see attraction that makes the hike to this isolated continent worth while. Sure, there is the Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock, the Sydney Opera House, and scores more; but what if you were in Sydney and wanted a quick escape from the city? Our suggestion is take a road trip south and breathe in the beauty that one of the most impressive lookouts we ever seen has to offer.

Bald Hill overlooks the Stanwell Park Beach Reserve at an impressive height of 300 meters. The cliff juts out and allows a perfect 180 degree view of ocean and beach alike. Its steep cliffs may not be for the faint of heart, but once you catch a glimpse of the beaches below, the hang gliders coasting, or the pods of whales making their northerly migration, you will be glad you packed a lunch and spent a peaceful few hours at Bald Hill.

No way! I live in Shellharbour which is 40minutes south of Stanwell! Did you go to the top look out of Sea Cliff Bridge? This is one my photos below

Thanks for the reply @cam.mcfarlane. Great shot!! We walked Sea Cliff Bridge but didn't make it to the top. We heard wonderful things about the view...Now we have a glimpse of it =)

I'm glad you had an amazing time exploring my local!

Wao that place so spectacular, beautiful viewpoint, it must be spectacular to be there enjoying the landscape and see the herds of whales pass, must be something unforgettable, excellent pictures and good recommendation, I leave my vote and I follow you, greetings.

Thanks @maniloww ! Seeing the whales cruise by and those crazy hang gliders leap off made for a lot of lunch entertainment.

Oh man I should have visited! I just left Sydney but heading north up the east towards Brisbane, still beautiful here though

Very cool! The Hunter Valley is beautiful if you're able to stop on the way. We heard a lot of great things about Brisbane being a hip, cool city, but we weren't able to make it up there this time. Looking forward to seeing your experience there! Followed :)

I love recommendations which are a little different! Beautiful photos too! Thanks for sharing guys!

Thanks for the kind words @yasminep!

..and followed :)
