Australia cancels the series against Bangladesh

According to the ICC's future schedule, the two Tests and three ODIs were to be held in August-September. However, CA had told BCB not to be financially inadequate about the series. CA officially showed the financial reasons as the reason for the cancellation of the series.

Cricket website ESPNcricinfo said that Australia's Free-to-Air channels do not want to host such a cricket series in this football season. CA has told BCB that this series will not be economically profitable for them.

Bangladesh has played one Test in Australia till now. In 2003 the series was also outside the cricket season. The series was arranged in Australia's northern, irregular two venues in Cairns and Darwin. The series was to be held in these two venues. But CA said they did not mean to organize such a series at the time of the tide of football.

ESPNcricinfo claims that Australia wants to refrain from playing this series, after the 2019 World Cup and come to Bangladesh. BCB chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said, "We have given several options and are waiting for their response."

A few days ago CA signed a $ 100 million Australian rights deal with Fox Sports and Seven Networks. The decision to cancel the series against Bangladesh has been finalized before the agreement. Whether it was proposed to broadcast a series against Bangladesh during the new broadcast agreement, it could not be ascertained.
