RE: Chasing Racing Emus - Highlight of my Bush Adventure

in #australia6 years ago

We are actually excited to take our little ones to the bush. It will be a great opportunity for them to learn more about Australian wildlife, safety measures, responsibility, and caring for animals and environment. The experience will also help build on their social and emotional skills as they enjoy each others company in the wild. Oh yes! It will be a blast!

I didn't know that you have emus in America. 😀 or was Gizmo imported from Australia?

Sort:

Gizmo must have been imported. We don't have them running around wild here in New England. The biggest bird we have is a bald eagle which is really cool to see too. There are some nesting pairs fairly close to our house so we see them fly by a few times a year usually.

The neighbor also had some other exotic animals like red deer and peacocks. and by exotic I mean not native to our region. He's pretty much dedicated to his animals and it feels almost more like an animal rescue than an animal farm.

I love all kinds of birds! I can just imagine myself having different types of birds if I have a farm. I will have each bird in pairs, male and female.

I will have meerkats, too, if I am allowed.

You're blessed to see eagles a few times a year. I could only get to see them at the zoo. My husband have seen owls and eagles a lot of times while driving on the highway, and he'd always tell me but it's too late, I didn't even catch a glimpse.
