The first advice I give you is to make your introduction post. In that post you should talk a little about yourself, what you do, what your passions and hobbies are, and let people know you and let everyone know that you are in contact with a human being.
That post you have to post it with the #introduceyourself #introducemyself tags, which are the two most important for that kind of post. You can place up to 5 labels, I recommend that you always use five, but for this initial post uses the two that I indicated, plus three others that have to do with what you think to write.
Check the style of postings on those labels so you have ideas on how to do it, especially the ones that have generated more money because they tell you what they like most about that type of post.
Then post and stay active, your short-term goals are to increase your reputation (that number that appears next to user) that is basically getting votes in your posts and comments, and increase steem power in your wallet. That's the basic strategy that works great on Steemit.
