Sneak Preview: Audiobook Creator, new online course coming soon
With audiobooks being a great market, and one that shows rapid and sustained growth for some time now, setting yourself up wit a business in this particular segment makes a lot of sense.
So much so that a number of promoters are already touting this business as a "secret" way to riches or as something that nobody else could possibly know about. If you are an #eBook author, or in fact any type of a #writer, you will know a thing or two about publishing though -- and then you will also be aware of audiobooks, so it's hardly that much of a secret.
Is it something that can make you money though? Yes, it can -- I believe that much is true. However, you need to know how to do it right (and find ways not to squander your money on Amazon fees or Apple fees and similar)! Is it something that makes you get rich quick? Probably not -- but I did not, and do not, suggest that these promoters I referred to above did imply that (in fact, they're honest enough to stress that this is not what they mean either)...
So what's the point of audiobooks then?
Simple. Like all downloadable products -- from eBooks to computer software to videos --, audiobooks come with a lot less of overhead: less start-up costs, less production time, no delivery hassle -- a lot less headaches overall!
But: if you don't do it right (or do not know where the difficulties are), you will, at best, do "okay" with your audiobook publishing business, and you will not likely get to a point where the results and profits dramatically outweigh the cost and effort you put in. You can try it out and figure it out on your own -- or you can take the advice in the Audiobook Creator online course and listen to someone who has learned it from his own mistakes, from trial and error, and from a lot of time wasted on methods that were simply not "it".
Another way of trying to figure it out would be to binge-watch stuff on YouTube -- which often is really good, but it's always hard to tell if the thing you're watching really is something that helps you getting ahead or provides the answers you#re looking for. So the "YouTube solution" is not really solution; at least it's ultimately a very expensive one in terms of time spent and (slow) progress achieved. So there more effective ways of getting there, and getting farther -- faster!
Doing it better, flatten the learning curve, and getting there in a lot less time and with a lot less effort (and cost) is what the Audiobook Creator online course is all about. The course is designed to get you going in the right direction right off the bat, avoid the mistakes, and not fall into the traps all too savvy big-tech platforms (like Amazon or Apple) have set up along your way.
The cost of this online course will quickly be (more than) offset by the extra portion of your income you DO NOT LOSE anymore in wasted fees for the big platfomrs none of us really loves. So it's a good idea to cut your journey short and be successful faster. (I did that myself a few times -- when learning about video production and when learning futures and options trading, and others -- and I have to say it was more than worth it.
I also tried and tested the academic "solution", but had to find out that this was nice in many ways and sure gave me some broad knowledge about a lot of things (except for the topic I went therein the first place), and that college is actually a rather ineffective way to spend your time: you (maybe) get there after three years. So let me be clear, you usually spend three years there for something you can clearly learn in three months, in 30 days, or even in 10 days and be all set to go and start your business. How is THAT for more effective'? The hands-on part, that's so severely missing in most things academia, is IMHO what will do the trick. What matters is to get you going. Learning more is something you can do along the way, all the time. Improving and learning more is what the business person does all his or her life anyway -- so really why bother starting to build the house from the roof?!
Laying some foundations, then gradually building upon them, and getting you to finish a framework that's good not only for one type of "house" (or project) but for a number of different ones is what the Audiobook Creator Course is designed for. Find out more about the course on http://ccpubl.tk/courses/ and see for yourself!
The best thing is that for the amount of seller or platform fees most audiobook creators, book or eBook authors and similar content creators lose to Amazon or Apple in a month, or two, or three alone you will learn ways to do it better from now into the future. That way you will earn more from the same effort any author already puts into their work right now for many years -- something that really will add up to hundreds of times the amount initially spent on the new knowledge and set of skill you'll acquire!
