Be In Control.
There are so many situations that threaten our peace, so many people who try to get under our skin, so many happenings that tries to infuriate us, we need to learn to be in control.
It is not as easy as it sounds, and it takes a conscious and deliberate effort to stay sane in an "insane" world. When we look around, everything seem to be at war with our internal peace.
In relationship, your partner frustrates you. They raise hell and look for every little reason to leave. They make you think you are not trying enough. They make everything about them instead of about "us".
In a country. It seems like the laws are different for everyone. Our leaders do what they seem fit for them, they look for excuses to justify themselves and look for a tiny shred of evidence to castigate the helpless. We put them there to lead us, yet they make it look like they are doing us a a favour. They really don't understand the meaning of service. These things makes our blood to boil, but then we need to be in control of our emotions and feelings.
The system looks corrupt. Everything seem to trickle down from the top to the grassroots. You pay monthly due for security in your locality. Overnight, everything from the transformer got removed and the security personnel will still have the boldness to come to you all and ask for security fees. It's hard to stay sane in situations like this.
I can go on and on with varying examples, but the bottom line is, everything that happens around us always try to get to us, and the only way out is to still be in control of our emotions.
Being in control is relative. It is applicable to all and everything. Whatever you are going through or whatever threatens your peace, try to be in control. Not just because the word sounds classy, but because of your own peace and sanity.
Be in control of whatever situation life throws at you or you find yourself in, maintain that inner peace. Look beyond the hurts and the pain, and try to stay on top of it. Don't let it drown you, let your inner peace, calmness and positive perspective be your lifeguard. Do it for you.
Be in control for the sake of your sanity.
An eye for an eye will make the whole world go blind.

Deep thoughts i must say @olawalium. If we don't take control of the situation, we might end up being controlled by the situation and also end up joining the train of the insane. Peace is not always the absence of trouble but the assurance that you are safe come what may. Inner peace is key. Take control.
