 After Ata's body was temporarily laid in the Ethnography Museum, action was taken to build a monumental cemetery that would suit the great savior. An international project competition opened to gather the interest of the world's most famous architects. In addition, a jury was selected among internationally renowned architects and artists.

  A special commission set up these guidelines in seven months.
these projects belong respectively to the following

2) German Prof. Johannes Krüger
3) Italian Prof. Arnoldo Feschini

Rasattepe, where Anıtkabir is located, is wooded to the skirts. Starting from Nevzat Tandoğan Square, a sweet staircase leads to the Anıtkabir area. Two stone towers rise on both sides of the stairs. One of the towers was given the name Hürriyet, and the other was given the name of Independence Tower. Among them, Atatürk's independence and freedom are written with golden gildings. There are three group sculptures on the front of the towers. The three women in the first group are very manicured. When one of the women is weeping, the second stands calm, and the third holds a bowl that revives the fertility. In the second group of sculptures are soldiers, students and peasants.

Ata's Place  ;

The Hall of Honor is a 33-step staircase. This is a spectacular icehole 20 meters high, 32 meters wide and 60 meters tall. Its ceilings are decorated with golden mosaics, motifs similar to those of Turkish kilim designs. Ankara Castle is seen from a high window opened at the back of the hall. The wall where the window is located, Ata «my mortal will be a day to dust my body, but it will stand forever remain the Republic of Turkey" and "What pleased me to!" The aphorism is written in gold.
