My personal experience about the solar eclipse

It was fun to watch the solar eclipse with a few hundred people. I was well prepared with my eclipse glasses and ready to watch the entire transit of the moon front of the sun. The area I was in we could see the maximum of 81% of the sun being eclipsed.

Well , things were pretty exciting in the beginning when I spot the first glimpse of the moon. Then the hour wait begins to see the maximum eclipse, which occurred at 2:48 PM EDT. It was bit of anti climax during the maximum eclipse when we all expected sudden darkness.

By the way, I had to share my eclipse glasses with 15 other people. I did not mind sharing my glasses with them at all. Seeing the joy in them watching the eclipse made me happy too.

We are expecting another eclipse in 2024, which will go across the continental USA. I am very excited for it.
