Why did astronomy become a part of my life?

in #astronomy7 years ago

The universe is so huge and amazing. Something beautiful happens every earth day in its remote corners: the explosion of a supernova, the fusion of galaxies, the birth and death of stars, the rains of diamonds and glass on planets and the collision of comets with them.  It is unlikely that my broken English will help me tell you about everything in colors, but I will try )

So why at the age of 17 I decided to connect my life with astrophysics. I believe that the miracles described in" 2001: a Space Odyssey "or" Alice from the future " will happen soon and with the help of young people who are passionate about this wonderful science.

I want to introduce you to  the little classification of space objects.
Today let's speak about planets.

Planets. Planets are spherical objects/ellipsoids that have their own axis of rotation and rotate around the Central star or the center of the galaxy. Everyone from kindergarten knows the planets of the solar system. It's Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

Each of these planets has its own characteristics. For example, Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. On Venus are acid rain because of the dense clouds of sulphuric acid - these rains are called "Virga".

Jupiter is called the largest planet, it is also remarkable because of its red spot, which is actually a huge hurricane on the surface of the planet.

Saturn is remembered thanks to the 7 ring around it and the strange atmospheric phenomenon "Giant hexagon" at its North pole.

And Neptune - "The sea God" in outer space - blue planet.
