The Lunation in Capricorn 2019 -- understanding life's current trends -- Part 1
What we're all going through ...
Good grief, would you look at that chart? Five planets in Capricorn. Fifty percent of the sky invested in that infinitely sober-and-sensible sign. Lots of emphasis on getting organized, finding a practical-but-meaningful direction, making a contribution that will last and have value, building something profitable with your time and talents.
Most of these concerns center around doing something purposeful and rewarding with your life, but as you see, there's a lot to consider. And Capricorn can be pretty insistent that you pay attention to his interests. Especially when he has allies like Saturn and Pluto backing him up. (And next year -- next January -- he'll have Jupiter there, too. So this isn't one you can just ignore and wait out.)
Welcome to the New Moon in Capricorn

Essentially Capricorn is about growing up and taking responsibility. (That maybe explains why he's not a popular guy.) Capricorn enjoys (actually enjoys) hard work, achievements that take time to assemble and the satisfaction of building something you know is respectable and enduring.
The actual labor happens on many levels and comes in many forms -- and always involves "delayed gratification." (Another reason people throw rocks and stones at Capricorn and Saturn. You have to earn every dime you get when he supervises ... and the paycheck you need is perpetually "in the mail" ... or "lost in transit" ... or "awaiting approval." All you know is ... it's not in your hands. You know the story.)

Life's theme in Capricorn is consolidation -- of what you have and what you need. As last year folds into this one, you'll consider different professional opportunities, different choices in your overall life direction ... and ways to advance career interests. You'll work on your reputation and advertise yourself. You'll gather respect for your abilities and the contributions to the world.
Whatever your commitments now, you'll think about what to do next. You have things to learn ... and a life to reorganize. During Capricorn, you'll work on how to make this happen. Pay attention to long-term growth -- especially financial and investment growth. Focus on security and conditions that last. Grow your assets; assemble reserves to count on. In sensible Capricorn, such plans are easy.

You're building a miraculous new version of you that in time will seem downright fated. With transformative Pluto in Capricorn now, each year's first weeks bring this front-and-center. I like to choose my changes, but hidden directions from our Higher Selves are still part of the mix. Those quiet rumblings aren't "just your imagination." It's your intuition.
Be mature, organized, cautious, deliberate, persistent, determined and patient. Conserve energy and assets. Set realistic goals and take responsibility so you can make it through what lies ahead. This is a sober, reflective time, when seeing what you don't have ... and the holes in your hull ... overshadows advice to "count-your-blessings."
Note what you need to work on next, what you need to supply and what needs reinforcement, That's your New Year's agenda. One day, one step, at a time.

That said ... let's reconsider the life themes that arise under Capricorn's stern gaze. With five Capricorn planets in this Lunation chart, those points will be the "new normal" for several weeks ... until the NM in Aquarius arrives to rescue us. (And not a moment too soon!)
Capricorn energy deals with:
Hard work, long hours and diligence -- usually in pursuit of some extensive life or professional goal that takes discipline, dedication and patience to accomplish
Taking responsibility for building solid structures and making extensive repairs-and-fortifications in your life
"Water-proofing" and reinforcing weak areas of life so that what happens here doesn't scuttle you completely
Ensuring the reserves you've accrued can see you through life's demanding trials and lean times
Projects where you grow in maturity, status and expertise as you progress and develop -- where you have a definite sense of "earning your stripes" or "paying your dues" -- and where rewards, while they may eventually be quite profitable, don't come easy at all
Acquiring reputation and respect -- these are important to you now -- and having a sense of your own territory, your own authority, and the ability to play in the same league with others in your field who are admired and powerful
Being realistic, sensible and crystal-clear on what you need, what you want and what you are determined to build to support your future

As I noted, Capricorn is about growing up ... and taking charge of the things that are your responsibility to manage. This most certainly includes your life, your professional direction and what you plan to make of yourself in the years ahead. This energy will last for another 2+ years as Saturn, the ruler of the sign, travels there ... like the Lord of the Manor coming home to see how things there have fared in his absence.
Once he leaves again, he won't return for another 28 - 30 years. So he's real interested in getting things arranged to his satisfaction ... and where he's interested, he'll make real sure you pay attention, too.
Where is Capricorn's New Moon affecting you? What house in your horoscope does this lunation occupy? If you don't know, let's talk about it. I need to know at least your birthday -- month and day. If you can supply year, time and place, what I have to say will be even more accurate. We'll work with whatever we have. Your turn. Talk to me in the comments.
Thanks for reading. If you learned something or enjoyed the post, I hope you'll come back soon. Meanwhile, let me point you to another post I recently read and enjoyed. Perhaps you'll enjoy reading it, too. Helping other quality content creators is a great way to boost your Karma, and here on Steemit we're pretty much left to fend for ourselves in finding the good stuff. Steemit, Inc. sure isn't lifting a finger although it would be easy for them, and easier for us all if they did. Maybe the people there haven't heard that thing yet about Karma.
Today's recommendation

If you've always known there was more to Astrology than Sun Sign material and the three line daily horoscope in the newspaper, climb aboard and follow this blog. You'll find a world of wisdom detailing how you were designed to work with life ... and why you are the way you are -- all in quick-to-read, easy-to-digest-and-remember, written-in-plain-English essays that offer plenty of food for thought.
Little by little, I'm doing a set of articles that talks about all the elements in your horoscope and what they have to say about you. If you "know something" about Astrology -- or know something about your chart placements, that will help you get more from this material.
If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.
Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.
Questions about any of this? -- Upvote this post and talk to me in comments. It's a terrific way to build value for yourself and the community ... and it will give me ideas of what to write about in future posts. Believe me there is lots to say about the way The Sun, The Moon -- and all the other elements in a horoscope, all the other components of Astrology -- work together to interpret you and your story -- and what it all means to the person you've become.
Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
The photos here are part of that collection, with sincere thanks to the artists who saw these moments ... and with their cameras ... preserved them. All of us at Enchanted Spirit are profoundly grateful to them for their generosity and skill ... and for the added grace, depth and dimension their art brings to ours.

I've read Part 2, and I think I particularly need to comment on this part, as it explains a LOT!
You probably won't remember, but I made a comment to you a few weeks ago about many things in my life just stalling or stagnating, and I was wondering if it was due to Mercury retrograde. But as Mercury stopped being retrograde, the stagnation and stalling just seemed to get worse.
Eg (you might want to skim through this bit - it's really boring), essential repairs to a flat that I just can't get done, despite having money put aside to pay for them (the tradesmen are just too busy and the repairs get increasingly complicated); a ceiling leak in a flat I rent out that I eventually managed to get fixed, but then the roof leak that had initially caused the problem broke through again; one of my car tyres was slashed last Friday; I put on the spare and ordered a new one, but it just didn't turn up - turned out that for some reason the payment hadn't gone through; I had a nasty stomach bug that kept me bed-bound for days between Xmas and New Year. When I recovered, I went out for a hillwalk, fell and re-sprained my ankle, so now I'm having to sit with my feet up, literally... everything I try to do seems to grind to a halt!
Oh yeah, and a blooming lease that just doesn't get signed off - it keeps shuffling back and forth between solicitors and a pension company! Really dull, unpleasant stuff that keeps my email box pinging on a daily basis. Grr.
However I have been working hard on training for my Mountain Leader award so that hopefully I'll pass the assessment with flying colours when it comes; working on my tax return (yawn) - also training my upper body strength while my feet are out of action! It all seems very Capricornian and Saturnian.
My birthday is 26th Feb.
Thanks for writing this. It certainly made me think: "Aha! That explains everything!"
One other thing that occurred to me... Maybe this explains the crypto market stagnation too. Is this bear market really going to go on for another two years? You don't have to answer that!
As a critical feature of the New Moon chart, what do you think of Mars rising in Aries (it's home sign), and being squared by Mercury at the Midheaven, in Capricorn? This aspect anywhere in a chart portends anger, as mind and communications (Mercury) challenge action and energy (Mars) . But this aspect is tremendously highlighted by being so angular! The words likely create actual anger and attack. How far could it go? Executive action? Martial (Mars) Law?
Look at this aspect in the world around us! President Trump's angry speech to the nation last night about democrat refusal to fund border security, including the Wall; was stonewalled and rejected by Pelosi and Schumer. We've been at a terrible impasse on this issue, and parts of the government have ground to a halt. Trump makes a persuasive case for the Wall. But the democrats and 90+% of the media are deadset against him! Trump was born with Mars 4 degrees from his Ascendant. He is demanding action. But is anyone listening?
The New Moon aspects signal the very on-going battle between the irresistible force (Trump) and the immovable object (democrats in Congress) which is going on right now.
What do you think?
