Discovery of the ASMR - Relaxation for some, incomprehension for others
Hello!
First, what is ASMR?
Does it work with everyone?
Unfortunately not, some people will be irritated by those noise, and will not understand the usefulness of ASMR and those videos. Studies have been carried out to understand where these sensations come from, but the results are not very useful at the moment, and we do not know much more.
How to know if you're receptive?
The best remains to test directly. To do this, it is best to be comfortably installed in a dark place, if possible silent, and listen to ASMR videos with headphones or earphones (because many videos are recorded with a particular microphone, to get a 3D sound). There are many "triggers" (a trigger corresponds to a stimulus) that can trigger these chills, the best being to test several to see which ones you like the most. To do this, videos bringing together several triggers exist, I put you one of a 'youtube-girl' known for its videos of ASMR:
List of many well known and very used triggers:
Whispers: this is the most known, and the most "basic", it is found in the majority of videos. It consists of whispering to the microphone, instead of speaking normally.
Tapping: it is a classic, it consists of simply "tapping" on certain objects with your fingertips. The sounds change according to the object on which the tapping is practiced (a glass jar or a book will not have the same rendering), but also according to the person who practices it or the speed at which it is executed.
Brushing: Still a classic, the person "brush" the microphone or brush the hair. Sometimes the camera is "brushed", and brushing is often accompanied by gestures and / or whispers. There are different types of brushes and brushing, which again gives a great variety to these sounds.
Roleplay: a little less widespread, roleplays have an important place in the ASMR. They are obviously whispered, and the person most often embodies a person of the medical profession. To appreciate them, one must have an open mind (like the ASMR, I think!)
List of many triggers:
Scissor noises
Noises of books
Sounds of playing cards
Water noises
Unintelligible whispers
Mouth noises
Sounds of kisses
So, are you receiptive?
If so, welcome to the world of ASMR ;) You will now be able to use some of these videos to relax, or even to fall asleep ... There are many ASMRtists (the name of the creators of ASMR videos) , discover several and choose the ones you like most ;)
If not, maybe you have not listened to the right triggers?
If it has disturbed you, you must not insist! As said before, everyone is not sensitive ;)
Tell me what you think of the ASMR, and if you are receptive to it ;)
