Excellent! As @destrudo said, people don't admit most of the time that they're using Steemit for partly selfish reasons. While I want to make Steemit be a very special and pretty community, I also want to do it because it's my community in a certain sense. It's like wanting to clean your street because that way you're more satisfied at the sight, the health benefits and what it gives the community.

In a sense, helping others is also for "selfish" reasons, since you act to feel satisfaction by feeling like you helped others. This doesn't help explain why someone would sacrifice their well-being for others. Perhaps peace of mind is more satisfying than death by fatigue. Got a bit too philosophical here.
