My daily Art | **Computerized abstraction**

Existe un caluroso debate filosófico-científico sobre si el diseño gráfico, la publicidad y otros elementos que se desarrollan en un computador pueden catalogarse como Arte. Teniendo en cuenta que el Arte en general que mayormente conocemos es aquel donde el artífice expone su cosmovisión con respecto a la realidad circundante que lo rodea en el lienzo, la escultura, la literatura, el vidrio, entre otros.

El Arte es exposición material de las ideas que en su abstracción mental puede desarrollar un individuo. Es elevación y escapatoria, búsqueda y encuentro, belleza o fealdad. El hecho es que un computador siendo tecnología no puede por sí solo crear Arte. Sin embargo permite al igual que un pincel o un lápiz elaborar una proyección que siempre es única e individual en cada ser humano.

Éste artículo no busca generar un debate ni mucho menos ondear de lleno en el tema en cuestión. La finalidad es mostrar un trabajo que desarrollé en un programa de diseño, basado en una técnica de abstracción que se denominan "inconsciente automático", siendo ésta la misma que utilizo para mis dibujos antes presentados.

Sólo planteo una interrogante reflexivo que espero genere un diálogo ameno y nutritivo. ¿Acaso en la computadora y el oleo el artista no utiliza las mismas operaciones mentales para desarrollar arte?

There is a heated philosophical-scientific debate on whether graphic design, advertising and other elements developed on a computer can be categorized as Art. Bearing in mind that the Art in general that we mostly know is that where the artist exposes his worldview with respect to the surrounding reality that surrounds it in the canvas, sculpture, literature, glass, among others.

Art is a material exhibition of ideas that an individual can develop in his mental abstraction. It is elevation and escape, search and encounter, beauty or ugliness. The fact is that a computer being technology can not by itself create Art. However, it allows a brush or a pencil to create a projection that is always unique and individual in every human being.

This article does not seek to generate a debate, much less wave fully on the subject in question. The purpose is to show a work that I developed in a design program, based on a technique of abstraction that is called "automatic unconscious", this being the same one that I use for my previously presented drawings.

I only raise a reflective question that I hope will generate an entertaining and nutritious dialogue. Does not the artist and the artist use the same mental operations to develop art?
