Art Blog # 25: Night At the Beach
Hello Steemians it's almost weekend and I'm so looking forward to my rest day. Well whenever I think of resting I'd always think of the beach. I remember staying a night by the beach with my husband at Malapascua Island were at night time there was this resort who has a live band and we just drank bear. No kids with us and we could just have the night all for us. We walked by the beach and decided to lie down in the sand and just stared at the stars till one of us suddenly fell asleep. And that is not me, my husband started snoring and I was so surprised coz I thought he was listening to me as I talk about something. It's one of those moment when you had nothing else to think of but relax and feel the wind blows.
Today my artwork is a night view of the beach. Just did a bit of color combination for me to achieve other colors since I only have the primary colors.
Let's Begin The Process
I started to draw thecoconut tree, since it's night time I used the color black from the trunk to the leaves of the tree.
Second step was the sky, I wanted to use purple for the sky and the shades of Violet but I started mixing the color blue and red the first mixture was the color I expected but the second mixture was too dark. I also used lavender and pink.
Third for the beach I used blue and yellow, for the sun. I also combined red and yellow to achieve the color orange. I used it as a shadow of the sun to the beach.
Lastly I used the color white to make some kind of a wind effect. And Like a wave in the sea.
The beach gave me a lot of memories to treasure, time spent with family, friends and loved ones. Today's artwork puts a smile on my face I know it has a lot of flaws and imperfections but just reminiscing my days with my husband makes me happy.
