The Warmth Of the Mother

I quickly jumped off of the bed,
And got dressed with anything I grabbed,
And raced down the stairs
To save the baby so lost and trapped.

Outside the wind begun to blow
As if the trees it wanted to tear
I hardly was able to hold my breath
And hardly was able to start the search.

*^ *^ *

Up above, from my cozy tiny window
Everything seemed like a silly play
In the forest though, the wind is unfriendly
And makes everything a dangerous game.

*^ *^ *

The snow is creaky, under my boots
My nose got frozen, and my hands too
Only my eyes, they were burning like fire
To find the baby, that once was so lost.

All of a sudden, near a frozen bush
I saw the little baby, crying
With a voice so thin, so pale
I took it in my hands and breathless i was looking around..

Above my head, near a bold standing tree,
In a nest so small and hidden in the branches,
His mommy dearly, waiting for him.

I carefully left the baby with her..

And then, in a hurry I ran
To get warm next to my mommy!!
