Banda Aceh - The Government of Aceh represented by the Assistant for Governance and Privileges, Iskandar A. Gani, opened the Main Cultural Mindset Workshop with the theme Towards 100 Years of Indonesian Culture Congress 2018. The workshop took place at Hermes Hotel, Banda Aceh, Monday (9 / 4/2018) night.

In a speech the Governor read Iskandar said, the workshop is in line with the mandate of Law No. 5 of 2017 on Cultural Progress. In the written law, the preparation of regional cultural ideas should be summarized from the aspirations of each regency / city, so that every cultural idea that can be formulated to represent the aspirations of their respective regional cultures.

"Later, the cultural point of reference becomes the reference for the preparation of the Master Plan for Cultural Progress to be further accommodated into the RPJM and RPJP of regional development," said the Governor of Aceh in the remarks read by Iskandar.

The Governor continues, for the people and Government of Aceh, the discussion of this cultural idea is inseparable from Aceh's privileges. Therefore, the Governor continued, the effort to formulate the main ideas of regional culture advancement is not to preserve local culture, but also to anticipate the impact of globalization. Thus the ancestral cultural heritage is maintained and able to host in their own country.

In addition, the Governor also conveyed, the debates about cultural claims should also be avoided so as not to trigger the occurrence of divisions in society.
