10th ARTstyleART Theme Announcement. REALISM+VILLAGE LIFE. And GOOD NEWS - New Project "Voice of Steemit" Supports the Contest

I have a good news. A new Project "Voice of Steemit" would like to support ARTstyleART contest and contributed 100 Voice shares!!!!!!!!!!

I invite you to explore different styles in art together not theoretically but practically.

This week we will try a rather difficult style as it requires very good painting skills. But I believe in you and you proved your skills in previous challenges.

The coming week we will have Realism + Village Life.

The theme Village Life came to me with the help of one of my favorite artists Irik Musin. I saw his paintings at FB and I was very impressed and shocked in a good way. You can see his paintings below but now there are some words about realism.

Realism

The task of realism is to depict the reality as exact and objective as possible. First this definition was mentioned in the 19th century to call the trend contradictory to romanticism and academicism. And the first artist connected to this new style at that time was Gustave Courbet.

A Burial at Ornans

Courbet in his painting underlined naturalistic details. Gustave put an accent on the usual life of people, on common events. He depicted a funeral ceremony but not the deeds of the deceased person and postmortem fate of the soul.
Realism in art was actively spread in France, Great Britain, Russia, Italy and the USA.
The French peculiarities: landscape domination. The artists tried to portray the real world, provincial nature. They thought that village landscapes showed the real France.
The artists of that style depicted real people and situations without idealization.
The most outstanding representatives were Jean - Francois Millet, Onore Domie, Ilya Repin

It is under question as I can be travelling. We planned to go to Georgia with the car next week but we have problems with the car and it can be cancelled.
