My Entry! Artstorm Contest #14 Day 2 Spring Flower Bouquets Non-digital
As we are in the middle of our third Nor'Easter in less than two weeks, I am seriously wishing for spring! Here is my entry into @deemarshall's great contest!
I had a lot of fun doing this one. The point is to have fun with it and hopefully, my artwork will improve from practice!
I did change the paper I was using which did make this one a lot easier on me. The last sketchbook I was using had rippled paper and the colored pencils I was using did not want to get into all those nooks and crannies. lol! Switching over to a mixed media book with my smoother paper did work way better for me.
I tried to erase most of my drawing lines but did not want to go over the alloted fifteen minutes for the challenge!

I draw occasionally with colored pencils myself, I’m glad that you found out that smooth paper is the only way to go! I found that out to, and a “Knead” eraser is a must. It lifts the color from paper pretty good. And it’s kinda cool for highlights to. Make sure to use acid free paper so that your paper doesn’t yellow in time. Didn’t know if you new that friend. These flowers turned out beautifully. Good work, have fun❣️
Thank you! I do have a knead eraser, I use it sometimes with good results. I will have to check if the paper is acid free, I hope so. :)
