The Blue Bells

Scene 21: Fall

The field mouse is shaking from fear and could no longer hold on. As soon as the kids are about to pull the thread down, the mouse gave up and fell so sudden. The air is quite dry today really hard to keep your eyes open. The time seemed to have stopped while the mouse closed his eyes leaving everything to fate. He wouldn't want to resist and just let go. He thinks that's the cool way to handle it and forget about worrying. He had been to a lot of physical stress. The predatory bird spotted him once again and decided to give it one more try -- to pursue a delicious meal.

The mouse is thinking about a safe landing imagining the fine sand would provide enough cushion. No he is not dreaming nor surrendering he just wants to take this fall. Even before the bird could get a tight grip on the mouse , someone or something came rushing in.

Swooosh

Kid 1: Guys, look Via caught the mouse.
Kid 2: I didn't know our cat Via followed us here. Better be prepared to face mom when we get home later.
Kid 1: That was cool Via good job for saving your new friend.
Kid 2: will mom allow us to take in another stray pet?

The kids kept quiet while Via is so proud even prouder than a diva. She rescued a poor creature from danger and even death. Her bright green eyes glowed with curiosity and joy as she gazed with amazement on her new friend.

Scene 20: Glare
