In the 19th and early 20th centuries, pottery produced in the settlements of Dragova, Dubovinka, Hudi, Khusta, Vynogradov and Vilkhivka, in addition to being sold at local markets, was also in demand in Hungarian and Romanian villages. Ukrainians did not sell it for money, but "in bulk". Can you imagine? To buy, for example, a pot, it was necessary to pour wheat or corn into it twice. The amount of grain was for the price of a vessel. As Ivan Polyanskyi, a potter from Dubovinka, explained, money changed, so it was more profitable to exchange goods. Here it is - the wisdom of the people!
With the development of industry, increased dependence of craftsmen on buyers, pottery began to reduce its volumes. The demand for pottery decreased sharply after the sale of cheap metal utensils.
In order to raise the craft, which was in decline, schools and workshops began to operate in the cities of the Zakarpattia region, in which people willingly studied the peculiarities of the technology of working with clay and making products from it.
In 1892-1906, a ceramic workshop also worked in Vynohradov. It was headed by Fischer Forkoshgaz. In the process of learning, the students produced tiles, receiving a small salary for it.
In the last post, I already wrote briefly about the history from the workshop to the factory in Vynohradov. So you know how everything completely disappeared….

But there are still some products that have survived. Unfortunately, my chicken is not completely whole. Here I will show you how it should look. And my goal is to find a whole copy for myself. I think it can still be done. And if not, then the value of my chicken is that it had a life)

And also, see? They were produced in two colors. So my collection is not complete)))

Tomorrow I will try to find time and form my thoughts for the next text with photos of the next piece from my collection. I hope you enjoy watching it. I will wait for your support so as not to lose momentum and replenish my collection.
