Artivism: a word combining "art" and "activism" applicable to artwork created with a message developed to raise awareness for a social and/or political issue(s) by the means of exhibiting particular attributes which focus on raising social awareness to encourage discourse and motivate positive change of perception of the viewer as a result of the artistic experience.

Exhibited at the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center in Hampton, Virginia as part of the Virginia Glass Guild 30th Annual Juried Exhibition from Oct 16th –Dec 3rd, 2017. Exhibited at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio in Norfolk, Virginia from June 19th to July 15th, 2018 as part of our Virginia Glass Guild Solo Artist Feature. 'A Tribute to Appearances' is now on permanent display at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.
