The Blue Sky Behind The Wall

Sopron (Ödenburg) in the northwest of Hungary and southwest of the Neusiedlersee is only 60 km from Vienna. The 60,000-inhabitant city is one of the oldest cities in Hungary and always had very good connections to Vienna. The Viennese like to use Sopron as an excursion and shopping destination because - especially a few years ago - prices there were significantly lower than in the Alpine republic.
