Art 370 is not a special provision granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir
Art 370 is not a special provision granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir. It is Temporary provision giving Temporary Autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir. Art 370 has been considerably diluted by 47 Presidential Orders applying 270 provisions of Indian Constitutionto the state and successive democratically elected state governments have given their implicit approval to successive Amendments. Now Kashmiri Separatists and their mouthpiece newspapers are askingfor revocation of these Presidential Orders and restoration of Art 370 in its original form to restore normalcy in Valley and gaining people's trust. These separatists and those who are in cohoots with them have no locus standi to make such demands because they are not democratically elected representativesof the people but a pressure group on payrolls of our Enemy Nation Pakistan. As far as Jammu and Ladakh are considered the trust is already in Indian Republic. The separatists donot represent the people of these twin regions. And, they have no right to blackmail Indian Republic on our behalf. If Indian Governement gives in to any unreasonable demand of these separatists then it would be a act of treason of highest order and highlyundemocratic.
Art 370 need only one change
