ईश्वर भक्त धर्मनिष्ठ निर्भीकता की प्रतिमूर्ति नानकचंद अपने लाडले बेटे मुंशीराम को पाप सागर में डूबते हुए देखकर
विलाप कर रहा है । पीढ़ियों से ईश्वर भक्ति में लीन परिवार में
यह क्या हुआ, कैसे हुआ? वासनाओं का जहरीला वासुकि मेरे
बेटे को कैसे उठा कर ले गया । मैं क्या करेंकहां जाऊँ? मेरा
बेटा तो दशहरे के दिनों में दिये गये मेले के खर्च में से कुछ धन
बचाकर टूटीदार झारी खरीद कर था जिसमें देवता पर जल

चढ़ाने के लिये जल भर लेता था, उसने पीतल की एक ढलिया।
खरीदी थी जिसके ऊपर पकड़ने का दस्ता और बीच में दो
कटोरियां जड़ी होती थी । एक कटोरी में अक्षत, दूसरी में चंदन
और थाली में फूल और बिल्वपत्र रख लेता था । नित्य प्रातः दांये
हाथ में झारी और बगल में धोती, अंगोछा लेकर विश्वनाथ जी
के दर्शन करने जाता था । मार्ग में सब शिवलिंगों पर झारी से
एक बूंद खूआते हुए विश्वनाथ, शनीचर देवतामहावीर, अन्नपूर्णा
और गणेश इन्डिराज प्रेम पूर्वक चदन, अक्षत, पुष्प, नैवेद्य,
धूपदान से पूजा करके घर आकर जलपान करना उसका नित्य
नियम हो गया था । मेरा बेटा जब 10 वर्ष का था तब नियम

करता तो आदित्यवार की रात तक लंका काण्ड की समाप्ति कर
देता । आज मेरा बेटा नास्तिक हो गया है । हे ईश्वर ! मेरी पुकार
सुन । मेरे बेटे की रक्षा कर और मेरे परिवार को कलंकित होने
से बचा ।
