El Proceso

The Process

A pesar de que últimamente no me he dedicado a dibujar a diario, este retrato fue bastante sencillo, lo empecé hace un par de semanas pero por desánimo, no continué dibujando, el día 31 de octubre en la mañana retomé el proyecto, como casi siempre empecé dibujando uno de los ojos, tal vez parezca que trabajo sin un orden aparente, pero a mi parecer es una forma muy cómoda de empezar un dibujo. Para esta obra usé lápices 6h, 5H, HB, 2B, 6B, 9B y 10B, usando los mas suaves en la piel y los mas oscuros en el cabello y la ropa. La piel la dibujé de manera bastante detallada, incluyendo en el dibujo manchas y lunares que se encuentran en la fotografía original.

Although lately I have not dedicated myself to drawing daily, this portrait was quite simple, I started it a couple of weeks ago but out of discouragement, I did not continue drawing, on October 31 in the morning I went back to the project, as I almost always started drawing one of the eyes, it may seem that I work without an apparent order, but in my opinion it is a very comfortable way to start a drawing. For this work I used pencils 6h, 5H, HB, 2B, 6B, 9B and 10B, using the softest ones in the skin and the darkest ones in the hair and the clothes. I drew the skin in a very detailed way, including in the drawing spots and moles that are in the original photograph.

The Hair

El Cabello no tiene mucha textura, pero contiene bastante contraste ya que es bastante oscuro comparado con los demás elementos del dibujo, acompañado de un par de zonas de iluminación absoluta, así que fue bastante fácil y rápido trabajar esta área.

The Hair does not have much texture, but it contains enough contrast since it is quite dark compared to the other elements of the drawing, accompanied by a couple of areas of absolute lighting, so it was quite easy and quick to work this area.
