I am happy to announce a new theme. The contest is organised by @aksinya.
This week we have a very interesting painting of a Steemit artist, @throughwindows! He took part with this painting in one of my ARTstyleARt contests and I suggested taking part in Artquest! And I am very happy that he agreed!
And @throughwindows will be the judge! I really like the idea when the artists themselves choose the best interpretations to their paintings.
THEME FOR ARTCHALLENGE #17 is to give an interpretation to a surreal painting of @throughwindows
This painting took part in the contest ARTstyleART the theme of which was SURREALISM+Portrait. The author wrote that there was a story behind this painting. I wonder if we can guess it or not.

Learning to Communicate!
Many animals communicate with each other via touch. However, one of the most bizarre events in nature occurs with a certain type of Earthworm known to form tight balls with hundreds of other worms. This is not intended to be an easy glut for their prey! They're simply 'talking' to one another!
The fact that the lady has bent down to pick up the ball infers to me that she is trying to connect with nature....it appears to be working (for a black salamander has come over to 'talk' to her, though I dare say that his intentions may be mixed!)

It seems to me that everything shown in the picture has something to do with the Ancient Greece: gods, myths or signs: fire (Salamandra), water (snakes), air and earth. Here I am at a loss, but maybe hyacinth (the character of Greek mythology Hyacinth was beloved of Apollo. Earlier, when she was a very small girl, the whole world seemed to her a continuous fairy tale with miracles, heroes and majestic palaces. Very soon, the butterfly's wings would have to grow in her own way so that she could circumnavigate with her friends over colorful meadows. But childhood suddenly ended and instead of a happy butterfly, she turned into a girl-caterpillar, in the soul of which settled doubt, fear and insecurity. Her fairy world suddenly turned into a dark night, a beautiful carriage - into a spotted salamander, and before her eyes was a continuous tangle of youthful problems. Another step and an unknown abyss would swallow her completely. But suddenly she saw IT!
It was a young stalk of a night lily. Alone in pitch darkness, it stood alone in her path. It was amazing, but the stem shone with some kind of inner fire, vitality and confidence. Its radiance was so strong that the girl saw a path. There was not a gulf, but a long road to life. It was her life with her new fairy tale, which she still had to write. She suddenly realized how she could become a guiding light for someone. To do this, you need to light a fire in your soul. It is the warmth of the soul that can warm those who are close to you and dispel the darkness of human doubts. Everything became clear, as in the daytime. And she saw a life that will not be wasted ...

My interpretation
It's about embracing nature in its purest form and truly being one with it. To stop and smell the flowers. Being so comfortable that you have no qualms in picking up the earthworms which probably represents the people who are actually important but the most neglected and the lizard represent trust that others would show if we actually do the right thing.

There are people who do not remember their dreams. One day the girl asked the Fairy of Dream to make her not only see the dream, but also remember it. And this night has come ... She had a wonderful journey!
There is a special world where night is all the time. In this world amazing plants grow. These plants can emit light. Rare animals that live in this world are happy to meet a human. They will certainly stop you, tell you about their life, and ask you about your life. The girl became friends with a salamander who told her that all the warmth on this amazing planet comes from inside and that people can get here only in their dreams. Here you can meet with your loved ones who also see a dream. Newborn snakes help sleeping people find each other. They gather at the person's palm in a ball, and then he releases them. Snakes creep in different directions, and only one of them returns that has found your loved one. She brings him to you. It turns out that this is not an easy meeting. This is a meeting of close hearts.
The girl did not want to leave the planet of Dreams, but she felt that someone was urgently asking her to wake up ... Mom leaned over her and said with a smile: "Good morning, dear! You will have more other nights, but now run to wash yourself. "

Ok, another thought here is that this woman has been betrayed by her lover! I'm going to assume that he doesn't know that she knows!
There's a saying:
Revenge is a dish best served cold! But in this case, revenge comes in the form of 'worm spaghetti'!
And lets not overlook the black salamander, for this is symbolism for a powerful poison! And with the piercing stare that she's giving, I'm not over confident of the guys chances of coming away from this unscathed!!

she is the perfect daughter indeed
so blight
gentle and light
But the head on her shoulders is full of ideas
sometimes she is even fighting back tears
but no one should see the battle and fight
she only can be gentle and light
I see a beautiful girl. The focus in this picture seems to be on her beauty. Only on second glance you see the worms he has in her hands. For me this shows, she is fighting her own demons but is not allowed to show it openly.
These are so cool. I definitely am on board for the next one! I think I joined too late to participate in this one though.....
