My oil painting about the amazing Theater of Politics.
The term "Opposames" is a term coined by one of my favorite authors, David Icke. Politically we are often given a choice between two lemons who are usually beholden to the corporations that sponsored them & the more things change the more they stay the same ! The left or right paradigm ... the ultimate illusion of choice ... two wings of the same bird but the flight plan stays the same. Not to mention the actual circus that takes place once the new show is in town.
The definition of living in a "democratic" country is that we are suppose to be electing these clowns ourselves. The clowns dictate policy that directly or indirectly effect many aspects of our lives. I think this detail from another painting of mine says it all about our planet & its people:
certainly there are a degree of madness in modern politics ! you are very right ! sometimes, i think, whichever we go, most of commonfolk loses out since the rich only looks after the rich, doesn't matter which political party wins...!
LOL ! Yeah. Buy the popcorn and watch the show :)

howdy from Texas sir visionaryart! haha! hey I like that new term that David Icke uses, Opposames, that is very clever but appears to be true. that's why if you've studied politics for a few decades it becomes a hilarious circus freak comedy show during the elections with all the talk about changes! lol.

Thanks @janton. They say it costs a billion dollars if you run for President of the U.S.A and loose ! Its usually paid for by corporations who can then dictate policy. I think Trump has been the only exception ... he has his own money either way ... what a circus ! I really hope you guys get to retain your second amendment or the whole house of cards will fall down ! :) (I think the aliens watch us on their television screens as huge entertainment. They are still searching for intelligent life on earth. )
