In this photograph, I've chosen a retro look for a retro motif. An old sentence for an ancient movie surely deserves that kind of treatment. For you who haven't seen Wizard Of Oz, go see it. It was a huge thing when it came out in 1939, still awesome for kids even in the eighties when I've seen it for the first time. Well, when I think about it there are those timeless films and it is one of them.
So as I mentioned, the retro look in this one is defined by lowered contrast, heavily desaturated use of colour and all the little dots and scratches that define worn out negative. It all falls nicely together to define the first, black and white part of the film while the action is happening in Kansas. Later on, when Dorothy and her dog Toto arrive in Oz, everything turns to a heavily saturated colour and super expensive sets for the time.
Well, what to add? :) See the film if you haven't. It is naive and emotional from today's perspective but if you 're able to look past that and enjoy times long gone, you'll have fun. For you older folks, enjoy it just like you did when you were a kid. Those were different times.
In any case,
Enjoy! :)

I heard my father and uncles talk about it, I had no idea what it was. The truth is that I do not remember seeing this movie, or I have not seen it, I would definitely remember it. But I would like to do it, the oldest version and the second one, "improved". :-D Thanks for sharing, @velimir.
Who doesn't know the film The Wizard of Oz, based on the children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum?! This is a cult film, although it is a children's film. I've read social, economic, even exile work on this film. The beautiful thing about this photo is that it not only brings us back to the memory of the film, but also leads us to imagine the cinema of the time, in which color was such an unconventional feature! Perhaps in the light of our contemporary cinema, especially that of cartoons, it could be considered grey, without knowing that it was a pioneer in the use of colour. Remembering is living! Thank you for sharing! Greetings
@velimir, Truly awesome and that is because, no matter what, Retro environment and those times are amazing.
I've never saw those days but when i try to imagine then for sure that gives the essence of fulfillment because those times were more organic.
Thanks for the reference about the movie and in my opinion retro movies hold the different essence and for sure it hides the golden days essence.
Keep up and i want to wish you the great day ahead and hope that these kind of exploration always refreshes your mind and soul.
Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂

Excellent retro photo @velimir. The black and white films enjoy them many times, especially the cantimpla and the cowboy movies.
I have no idea what the movie is about, but I definitely like the retro. It must have been the best to enjoy something like that in those times. I think I'll look for a way to see it too. Thanks for the recommendation, @velimir.
Excellent effects manipulation. The retro feel is perfect for the subject.
